Each of the works of art is original to the artist and portrays her unique style, capturing the atmosphere of the area.
None of her paintings are repeated and as such are unique for the art collector who is looking for something special for home or office. She often uses photographs to capture scenes, but many of her paintings are imaginative landscapes, which could be anywhere in the world. These are done by what the artist 'sees' in her mind and then captured on the canvas to create a mood or emotion.
Commissions are welcome but will be done in the artist's style after discussion with the client. Most paintings are done in oil or Winsor and Newton professional acrylics, according to the buyer's preference. Special pieces of art are done in watercolour by request only. Photographs are used to give a general idea but the artist uses licence to change scenes according to her feel for what works best in a painting.
Paintings are done on professionally stretched and treated canvas, as well as on professionally treated canvas panels. Stretched canvas can be shipped on the frame, or taken from the frame and sent rolled in a tube (as used for international clients). Canvas panels are shipped in boxed containers.
Please be aware of the fact that oil paintings take between three and six months to dry properly before varnish can be applied.
